Sugar Skulls for Dia de los Muertos

Sugar skulls are a Mexican tradition for Dia de los  Muertos, or Day of the Dead.  November 1st and 2nd are the days to honor the dead, and one way of doing that is by decorating sugar skulls.  I found this sugar skull below at La Mexicana Bakery here in Austin.

  1. These are really neat! I’ve actually never seen a sugar skull though there are probably 30 mexican bakeries in Houston (shame on me).
